M.Other is a sculptural study of modern motherhood in all its contradiction, complexity, and beauty. The name holds within it dual meanings: Mother, and Other. To be a mother is to be both - one with your children, and separate from them. Yourself, and changed. Familiar, and made strange again.
Each piece in the M.Other collection explores symbolic forms, moments, or memories of motherhood: the egg, the moment of conception, milk encircling the breast, lullabies sung in the dark, the kinetic shape of early play - all reimagined in precious materials that can be worn and held close. Crafted in intentionally varied materials, the collection embraces contrast and invites the mixing of gold with silver and beads. It reflects how we dress now - with fluidity and a willingness to layer the precious with the playful.
