About Ouvelle

Ouvelle is a modern fine jewelry brand where meaning and lived experiences are distilled into modern, wearable forms.

Inspired by the shape of the egg — a symbol of life, creation, and transformation — the brand name itself combines nouvelle (French for “new”) and ovus (Latin for “egg”), reflecting past and present, and the ongoing evolution of self.

Founded by designer Juliet Sutton-Gee, Ouvelle was born from a personal shift: the transition into motherhood, a return to California after two decades abroad, and a desire to create something lasting and true. After fifteen years working in London's fine jewelry industry, Juliet now brings her vision to life through pieces that honor memory, transformation, and emotion through shape.

At its core, Ouvelle is about connection — to oneself, to family, and to the generations of women who came before. Influenced by modernist female artists like Barbara Hepworth and Bridget Riley, each design is sculptural yet soft, abstract yet deeply felt.

Every design at Ouvelle begins in Juliet’s hands. She sketches, sculpts in wax, and develops technical specifications to translate ideas into form. Some pieces are handcrafted start-to-finish in her California studio, while others are completed in close collaboration with specialist workshops around the world—each selected for their mastery of a particular technique. She also photographs the work herself, shaping the brand’s visual language. Whether working alone or alongside others, Juliet remains closely involved at every stage, ensuring each piece stays true to its original design and the narrative of Ouvelle.
